The permit for Paul Hobbs Winery on Watertrough Rd. was revoked July 2 by Sonoma County's Ag. Commissioner through the Permit and Resource Management Department. Hobbs once again violated the conditions of the permit.  After he spent 3.3 million dollars to buy the 47 acre apple orchard and more to tear it down, he will surely try to renew the permit. In this case, nature spoiled his plans, though he once again contaminated a creek by illegally cutting its protective vegetation and failing to install erosion control measures.
