Cittaslow Sebastopol taking in new Steering Committee Members

Cittaslow Sebastopol is an ad hoc committee of the City that brings together individuals, businesses, non-profits and government agencies to help Sebastopol retain its unique local flavor. The Cittaslow (pronounced: chee-TAH-slow) "Slow City" movement began in Italy, as an offshoot of Slow Foods, and has become an international network of over 160 small towns that honor 6 basic priorities:

supporting locally made products and agriculture; 

celebrating local history and culture; 

welcoming visitors and embracing neighbors; 

protecting the health of the environment; 

integrating technology for improved well-being; 

and developing community-friendly infrastructure. 

Persons interested in joining Cittaslow Sebastopol at the leadership level (Steering Committee) are encouraged to apply online by Monday 3/25 at 5:00 at:

IMPORTANT CITY COUNCIL MEETING...

The next City Council Goal Setting meeting in this Monday, April 1, from 2-5pm in the City Hall conference room located at 7120 Bodega Ave.

They need to keep hearing and thinking about the General Plan Update as the most effective long-term strategy to assure City economic and environmental vitality.
